Influencia de la temperatura de secado y molienda de harina de semilla de zapallo (Cucurbita maxima) en la conservación de cucurbitina y su efecto vermífugo
Abstract
El presente estudio estuvo orientado a determinar la influencia de la
temperatura de secado y molienda de la harina de semilla de zapallo
(Cucurbita maxima) en la conservación de cucurbitina y su efecto
vermífugo. Esta investigación es de tipo experimental, se trabajó un
arreglo factorial de 3x3, siendo el primer factor la temperatura y el
segundo factor el tipo de molienda. Para tal propósito se utilizaron 60
zapallos de la especie Cucurbita maxima para obtener 30 kilos de
semillas de zapallos. Las semillas fueron deshidratadas a tres
temperaturas (50°C, 60°C y 70°C) hasta obtener una humedad
relativa de 9.1%. Mediante la Espectrofotometría UV-VIS se
cuantificó la cucurbitina en las semillas de zapallo antes de
exponerlas al tratamiento (0.6389 mg/mL). Las que presentaron
mayor concentración fueron las semillas a 50°C (0.5431 mg/mL), las
cuales recibieron diferentes tratamientos de moliendas en (tornillo,
martillo y mortero) luego fue tamizado, siendo la harina de semillas
de zapallo con el tratamiento de molienda tipo tornillo la que
presentó mayor concentración de cucurbitina (0.4767 mg/mL), la
cual se utilizó para llevar a cabo el efecto vermífugo en lombrices de
tierra (Eisenia foetida), teniendo resultados de muerte a los 54´47¨.
Se realizó un análisis inferencial (concluyente), donde se comparó
los resultados con variable dependiente, variación de concentración
de cucurbitina con respecto a las semillas extraídas. Sus efectos
sobre la variación porcentual de la concentración de cucurbitina son significativamente
diferentes entre sí, (Pvalue=1,000).
La comparación de los resultados se realizó mediante la prueba de
Análisis de varianza univariante (ANOVA) y para las comparaciones
múltiples se utilizó la Prueba de Duncan, al 95% de confianza.
