Propuesta de modelo de selección de pavimento económico en base al ciclo de vida que sea rentable para carreteras de bajo volumen

El presente proyecto de tesis es una investigación cuantitativa de diseño
experimental, en donde nuestro objetivo es demostrar la importancia de la rentabilidad de
los Pavimentos Económicos en carreteras de bajo volumen basándose en un modelo
determinístico y probabilístico; con procesos fijos bien marcados y secuenciales en base
a los datos de entrada, y probabilístico por los factores de ajuste que ayudan a predecir
con un grado de incertidumbre el comportamiento del PCI lo cual es base del análisis de
rentabilidad económica en el Ciclo de Vida de los pavimentos.
En esta investigación se tomarán en cuenta tres variables muy incidentes, una de ellas son
los “costos de construcción” siendo muy determinante en obtener la inversión inicial, la
segunda son los “costos de conservación”, el cual nos determinará la inversión en el ciclo
de vida en función del deterioro de cada pavimento, la tercera son los “ahorros de costos
de operación vehicular”, el cual permitirá determinar el retorno de las inversión inicial e
inversión en el ciclo de vida y está en función del estado de condición del pavimento, así
como el IMDa de cada año de estudio. Se ha propuesto cinco alternativas de pavimentos
económicos: Micropavimento, Slurry Seal, Tratamiento Superficial Bicapa, Otta Seal y
el Pavimento Asfáltico Delgado. Cada alternativa de pavimento económico cuenta con
un ciclo de vida, y esta se deteriora por diversos factores, como el IMDa, Orografía,
Ubicación Geográfica.
Con los costos de operación vehicular, costos de conservación y ahorros de operación
vehicular se calculará el Flujo Neto, la Tasa Interna de Retorno (TIR) y el Valor Actual
Neto (VAN), esto servirá para determinar la mejor alternativa de pavimento económico,
indicando si es rentable o no.
