Conocimientos sobre la interpretación del electrocardiograma en los internos de medicina de la Universidad Ricardo Palma en el año 2020
Abstract
Objetivo:
Determinar
los
conocimientos
sobre
la
interpretación
del
electrocardiograma en los internos de Medicina de la Universidad Ricardo Palma
en el año 2020.
Material y métodos: Estudio de tipo observacional, descriptivo y de corte
transversal. Se evaluó a los internos de medicina del último año perteneciente a la
Universidad Ricardo Palma en el año 2020, mediante un cuestionario validado.
Los resultados obtenidos fueron almacenados y organizados en el programa
Microsoft Excel 2013. El análisis de estos datos se realizó con el paquete
estadístico SPSS versión 23 donde se determinó las asociaciones bivariadas y
multivariadas, mediante la prueba Chi cuadrado.
Resultados: Participaron 148 internos de medicina. El 53,38% (n=79) de los
internos de medicina tienen un nivel medio de conocimientos sobre la
interpretación del electrocardiograma, 43,25% (n=64) un nivel alto y 3,37% (n=5)
un nivel bajo. En el análisis bivariado se encontró asociación significativa con las
variables: promedio ponderado p=0,000; RP=1,285; IC 95% [1,158 -1,426], llevar
el curso de Manejo del Paciente Crítico p=0,019; RP=1,148; IC 95% [1,025-1,286]
y la orientación hacia la especialidad médica p=0,033; RP=0,881; IC 95% [0,785-
0,989]. En el Análisis multivariado los factores estadísticamente significativos
fueron: promedio ponderado “Bueno” (p=0,000) y la orientación a una
especialidad clínica (p=0,025).
Conclusión: Se evidencio que el mayor porcentaje de internos del último año de
medicina tienen un nivel de conocimientos medio sobre la interpretación del
electrocardiograma siendo este aceptable. Además, el tener un promedio
ponderado en la categoría “Bueno”, el haber llevado el curso de Manejo del
Paciente Crítico y el tener una orientación hacia una especialidad clínica estuvo
asociado a tener un nivel alto de conocimientos.
