Repercusión en el crecimiento y desarrollo en niños de 5 a 14 años con diagnóstico de asma bronquial en el Hospital Hipólito Unanue en el periodo Junio-Octubre del año 2016
Abstract
Objetivo: Determinar la repercusión del asma bronquial en el crecimiento y desarrollo en población pediátrica atendidos en el hospital Hipólito Unanue periodo junio – octubre 2016. Materiales y Métodos: Estudio de tipo observacional, analítico, descriptivo retrospectivo, transversal. Una población de 660, se obtuvo una muestra de 160 niños asmáticos entre las edades de 5 años y 13 años 11 meses en el hospital Hipólito Unanue durante los meses de junio - octubre en el año 2016. Para la recolección de datos se utilizó una ficha de datos comprendida de 11 ítems información obtuvo de las historias clínicos. Resultados: La mayor prevalencia del asma intermitente es el 40.3%, asma persistente leve 25.6%, asma persistente moderado 34.4%. La edad de mayor frecuencia fue entre las edades 5 y 6 años de edad un 60 %. En género el sexo masculino 53.8% y femenino un 46.3%. En la prevalencia del estado nutricional se observó que desnutrición leve en un 46.9%, normal 48.1% desnutrición moderada 5%. Se demostró que los pacientes con asma intermitente es un 40.3%, tienen una (OR =1.35) probabilidad de tener crecimiento inadecuado, de los que no tienen asma persistente. No se halló significancia estadística. (OR=1.35; IC=0.70-2.58 p=0.35). El asma persistente moderado con crecimiento inadecuado es un 63.6%, el tener asma persistente moderado tiene 1.36 probabilidad de tener un crecimiento inadecuado. No se halló significancia estadística. (OR=1.36; IC=0.69-2.66; p=0.36). En relación al desarrollo, el asma intermitente con desarrollo inadecuado fueron 61.5%, con crecimiento adecuado 38.5%.El tener asma intermitente tiene (OR=1.16) probabilidad de tener un desarrollo inadecuado. No se halló significancia estadística (OR=1.16; IC=0.61-2.17; p=0.21). Conclusión: El asma intermitente y persistente moderada presenta asociación. Sin embargo no fueron estadísticamente significativos.
