Diseño e implementación de una red piloto LoRaWAN para el monitoreo remoto de cuatro parámetros médicos

El presente proyecto de tesis consiste en el diseño y la implementación de una red piloto LoRaWAN (Long Range Wide Area Network) que permite el monitoreo remoto de cuatro parámetros médicos los cuales son: la temperatura corporal, la frecuencia cardíaca, la presión arterial y la saturación de oxígeno. Con este proyecto se busca brindar una alternativa de apoyo al desarrollo de la telemedicina en el Perú, ya que actualmente se incrementó la demanda de dicho servicio a raíz de la pandemia del COVID-19, sin embargo, aun presenta deficiencias por la poca disponibilidad de recurso humano, por ello se busca suplir esta carencia con un sistema de monitoreo remoto que permite realizar mediciones periódicas de parámetros básicos, como los mencionados, a las personas que lo requieran. El sistema de monitoreo remoto consta de un módulo de medición de los cuatro parámetros con una interfaz que le da al usuario indicaciones textuales, a través una pantalla LCD, con los pasos a seguir para la correcta secuencia de la toma de mediciones, indicándole que debe ponerse el tensiómetro de muñeca y activar su botón de encendido, luego le dice en qué momento debe sacárselo y poner su antebrazo cerca del sensor de temperatura corporal, después indica que debe situar el dedo en el oxímetro para tomar su saturación y en qué momento debe retirarlo del dedal, para después pedirle ingresar su número de DNI. Finalmente realiza el envío de los datos capturados por transmisión microondas con modulación LoRa (Long Range) hacia un gateway que se conecta con el servidor de red de la plataforma The Things Network (TTN) que está enlazado al servidor de aplicación UBIDOTS donde dichas mediciones son monitoreadas de forma remota.
Por último, se realizaron pruebas para medir la fiabilidad del sistema a partir de una serie de comparaciones con otros equipos comerciales que realizan mediciones de los mismos parámetros médicos logrando un porcentaje de error menor al 6%. También se realizaron pruebas de campo para determinar el alcance de la transmisión de datos, obteniendo una distancia máxima de 4.61 km.
