Los ensayos geofísicos en la actualidad han tomado un gran protagonismo dentro de los estudios geotécnicos, tal es así que muchas empresas contratan a especialistas en el área para verificar ubicaciones litológicas, estado de material de fundación, y tomar las medidas necesarias para garantizar un comportamiento adecuado del suelo a través de correlaciones.
Esta presente investigación se realizó con el objetivo de comparar parámetros de resistencia dados por ensayos geotécnicos y ensayos geofísicos de manera cuantitativa, a su vez estos últimos no son sustitutos de los ensayos geotécnicos, por el contrario son una herramienta complementaria o de verificación para ingenieros, geólogos y geofísicos, debido a que en ocasiones no se tienen las condiciones ideales como espacio, presupuesto, estructura del terreno, ruido ambiental, entre otros; para la realización de determinado tipo de prospección.
El propósito de la investigación fue obtener parámetros de resistencia a través de los ensayos geofísicos que permitan determinar la estabilidad de un determinado talud en la Costa Verde – Miraflores.
Para esta investigación se hicieron uso de software que facilitaron nuestro estudio, entre ellos: Pickwin, Plotrefra, Surface Wave Analysis Wizard , Slide y AutoCAD Civil 3D.
