La tesis titulada: Evaluación de la vulnerabilidad sísmica para el diseño de
reforzamiento estructural implementando disipadores de fluido viscoso en la vivienda
multifamiliar de 8 niveles; Santiago de surco; fue realizada bajo una metodología de
investigación aplicada con un enfoque descriptivo por que la vulnerabilidad sísmica y el
reforzamiento estructural requieren de una evaluación y un análisis que deben ser
descritos sistemáticamente durante todo el proceso de la investigación, ya que uno de los
principales problemas que enfrenta nuestro país es la vulnerabilidad estructural de las
edificaciones debido a que nuestra presente norma E-030 se encuentra en constantes
actualizaciones y existen edificaciones que están construidas con normativas anteriores o
no cumplen con los parámetros actuales. Se realizó la evaluación de la edificación
considerando los parámetros actuales de la norma E-030, para evaluar la vulnerabilidad
de la estructura. Se realizó el análisis estático- dinámico lineal de la estructura en el
programa ETABS 2017 v 17.0.1, donde se obtuvo que la presente edificación no cumplía
con el control de derivas establecido de 0.007, por lo que se procederá a realizar el
reforzamiento con disipadores de fluido viscoso.
Al realizar el reforzamiento de la edificación con disipadores de fluido viscoso,
se tomó en cuenta la metodología Hazus para obtener una nueva deriva objetivo para un
sismo severo de acuerdo al tipo de edificación, se logró el objetivo de reducir las derivas
con lo que se obtuvo menores iguales a la deriva objetivo que se obtuvo por la
metodología Hazus de 0.005, donde se presentó reducción de amortiguamiento,
distorsiones y esfuerzos en la estructura.
