FACTORES SOCIOECONÓMICOS, DEMOGRÁFICOS Y OBSTÉTRICOS ASOCIADOS A ANEMIA GESTACIONAL EN MUJERES EMBARAZADAS DE LA REGIÓN COSTA DEL PERÚ. ENDES 2020.
Abstract
Objetivo: Determinar los factores socioeconómicos, demográficos y obstétricos asociados a la anemia en embarazadas de la región Costa del Perú en el periodo 2018-2020. Material y Métodos: Se realizó un estudio de tipo observacional, analítico, transversal y retrospectivo en base al análisis de datos secundarios obtenidos de la ENDES en el periodo 2018- 2020. La población de estudio estuvo constituida por embarazadas de 12 a 49 años de la región costa del Perú que hayan participado en la encuesta ENDES 2018, 2019 y 2020. Se seleccionaron los archivos de datos de interés y en base a ello se hizo el análisis; para el procesamiento de datos se utilizó el software estadístico SPSS versión 26.
Resultados: Se analizó una muestra de 1648 mujeres embarazadas entre 12 a 49 años. De ellas un 27.9 % presentó anemia gestacional. En el análisis multivariado, se encontró una asociación significativa de los siguientes factores socioeconómicos y demográficas: edad adolescente (RPa 2.17; IC95% 1.70-2.76), grado de instrucción primaria y o secundaria (RPa 1.42; IC95%1.05-1.93) y nivel socioeconómico de pobreza (RPa 1.39; IC95% 1.16-1.65); y de los siguientes factores obstétrico : ser multigesta (RPa 1.97; IC95% 1.36-2.85), estar cursando el segundo trimestre de embarazo (RPa 2.47; IC95% 1.66-3.68) y estar cursando el tercer trimestre de embarazo (RPa 3.16; IC95% 2.10-4.75). No se encontró una asociación significativa con residencia, control prenatal y periodo intergenésico corto.
Conclusión: La prevalencia de la anemia gestacional fue de 27.9%. La edad materna, grado de instrucción y nivel socioeconómico son variables sociodemográficas y económicas asociadas a anemia gestacional. La variable obstétrica numeró de embarazos y edad gestacional mostraron asociación con anemia gestacional.
