Características asociadas a parto vaginal posterior a cesárea en el Hospital Nacional Daniel Alcides Carrión del Callao durante el periodo 2018 – 2020
Abstract
La cesárea es el evento quirúrgico más realizado de todos los tiempos.1
A inicios del siglo XX se tenía el concepto de ―una vez cesárea, siempre cesárea‖.2
Representa un problema de salud pública por la morbimortalidad materna fetal que
conlleva en comparación de un parto vaginal, y más aún cuando se trata de dos o
más cesáreas en la misma paciente.1 La Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS) en
1985 en Brasil recomendó una tasa no superior al 10-15%. 3
Por ello el Colegio Americano de Obstetricia y Ginecología (ACOG, por sus siglas en
inglés) sacó a la luz sus recomendaciones y propuso que ―todas las mujeres
deberían ser llevadas a prueba de trabajo de parto vaginal posterior a cesárea
(TOLAC, por sus siglas en inglés) en ausencia de contraindicación medica u
obstétrica‖, 2 esto debido a que 6 a 8 de 10 mujeres logran un parto vaginal; con
riesgo de complicarse con una rotura uterina menor al 1%.
