Análisis comparativo de defensas ribereñas para la mitigación de inundaciones del río Ica

La presente investigación consistió en realizar un análisis comparativo de defensas
ribereñas para la mitigación de inundaciones del río Ica con el fin de proponer el sistema
de defensa ribereña más adecuado, para evitar pérdidas de vidas humanas, viviendas y
zonas de cultivos.
Se desarrolló esta investigación utilizando herramientas de información del expediente
técnico “Control de desbordes e inundaciones en el río Ica y quebrada
Cansas/Chanchajalla”, de la carta nacional de geología y de la página web del SENAMHI.
Se utilizaron criterios empíricos, hojas de cálculo, normas técnicas vigentes nacionales y
software profesionales.
Para el cálculo del caudal se realizó el modelamiento hidrológico en el software HEC-
HMS, el cual nos da un caudal de diseño de 771.90 m3/s. Este caudal es para un período
de retorno de 140 años. Luego que se obtuvo el caudal usamos el software HEC-RAS; el
cual nos dio una velocidad máxima de 5.05 m/s, un tirante de 4.82 m y el número de
Froude menor a 1, lo cual nos indica que es un flujo subcrítico.
Se analizó los tres sistemas mediante aspectos técnicos y económicos, concluyendo que
la defensa ribereña más adecuada es la de muro gavión con relleno de material de
préstamo para la plataforma, con dos tipos de medidas de 5x1.5x1m y 5x1x1m, altura del
muro 4.20 m, longitud del colchón de 4 m, espesor del colchón de 0.30 m, profundidad
de socavación de 2.43 m y borde libre de 1 m. Siendo el costo de S/. 52,040.849.04.
