Evaluación de la condición del pavimento flexible aplicando las metodologías vizir y pci para proponer alternativas de mantenimientos –Av. Malecón Checa

En la actualidad, debido a sus años de uso y el exceso de carga admisible la avenida
Malecón Checa del Distrito de San Juan Lurigancho se encuentra en mal estado, con un alto
índice de deterioro, y con una gran variedad de fallas. Esto afecta a los usuarios que
diariamente utilizan esta ruta para transportarse, provocando que los vehículos presenten
problemas mecánicos e incomodidad al usuario. La siguiente investigación tiene como
finalidad determinar el estado de condición del pavimento flexible de la avenida Malecón
checa para poder proponer el tratamiento necesario. Para esta evaluación se realizó un
estudio superficial mediamente metodologías de inspección visual, VIZIR (Visión e
Inspección de Zonas e Itinerarios en Riesgo) y PCI (Índice de Condición del Pavimento).
La avenida tiene una longitud de evaluación de 1300 m, de dos carriles con un ancho de 6.3
m, para esta investigación se evaluará 37 unidades de muestra cada 35.4 m para la
metodología PCI y 13 unidades de muestra cada 100 m para la metodología VIZIR. Mediante
la aplicación de las metodologías se pudo identificar la condición del pavimento, según la
metodología VIZIR el pavimento se encuentra en una condición de BUEN estado con 57%
y por medio de la metodología PCI el pavimento se encuentra en una condición de BUEN
estado de 54%. Así mismo al identificar todas las fallas superficiales se determinó que las
fallas predominantes son las Grietas Longitudinales y los Huecos. Además, se identificó que
la metodología PCI tiene mayor grado de confianza ya que evalúa más fallas del deterioro
superficial. Finalmente, mediante las acciones de tratamiento de las comparaciones de las
metodologías se identificó que la avenida requiere Mantenimiento.
