La tesis se delimita dentro de las áreas de la arquitectura y la acústica arquitectónica, teniendo como fin lograr que la arquitectura contribuya en la consolidación de procesos educativos innovadores mediante la correcta interrelación entre el diseño arquitectónico y el modelo pedagógico.
La arquitectura educacional busca optimizar los espacios educativos a través de una arquitectura que le asegure a la comunidad educativa una mejor posibilidad de formación, calidad de vida y superación personal. Esto implica que todos los recintos y espacios interiores y exteriores del establecimiento deben cumplir una función que apoye al proyecto educativo.
La acústica arquitectónica es una rama de la acústica aplicada a la arquitectura que estudia las propiedades físicas como el tiempo de reverberación y la claridad acústica de un espacio para lograr un adecuado acondicionamiento y/o aislamiento acústico dado por necesidades físicas más que perceptuales. “
